The creation of human-like beings has occupied many thinkers in recent centuries. Artificial intelligence scientists, while achieving remarkable successes, have not been able to create self-aware systems with the characteristics of learning, experience, and behavioral creativity similar to humans with natural intelligence. Substance dualists consider these characteristics to originate from the abstract and thinking human mind and state that scientists will not be able to create systems equipped with human intelligence with the current tools and science because this characteristic originates from an abstract substance with a parallel function, the means of identifying and creating which, due to its abstractness, is not available to humans. Therefore, an analytical study of the possibility of realizing strong artificial intelligence based on the inherent duality of mind and body can provide reasons for the challenges of artificial intelligence based on the inherent duality of mind and body, and thereby provide a basis for identifying the weaknesses and strengths of these systems. In this article, using a descriptive-analytical method, first the inherent duality and artificial intelligence are examined, then the philosophical challenges of artificial intelligence based on the inherent dualism are analyzed, on the basis of which artificial intelligence, due to mere materiality, acts based on the data provided, and due to the lack of a mind and its interaction with materiality, is unable to resolve the challenges and merely simulates human actions, which, unlike the voluntary actions of humans, acts based on predefined plans.
