Aims and Scope

Perspective

In 1405 HS/2026 CE, the semiannual Journal of Research on Mysticism (Pazhūhish-hā-yi Adab-i ʿIrfānī) will be among recognized and influential journals on mystical literature in the national and international scale. The ultimate objective of this journal is to advance systematic research.

Aims

  • Enhancing systematic research to improve scientific and specialized foundations in the mystical literature in diverse fields such as the history of mysticism and Sufism (including the evolutionary history of mystical traditions and mystical dispositions, monograph, sects, and mystical disposition), mystical language (including narratology, semantics, hermeneutics for reading and understanding texts, etc.), the fundamentals of mysticism and Sufism (including the theoretical bases, the nexus of mysticism and philosophy, and epistemology), textology, studies in comparative mysticism, manuscript studies, and text emendation (commentary and philology).
  • Promoting systematic research advancement of the society nationally and globally thorough interdisciplinary research in diverse fields including psychology, educational sciences, consulting, social sciences, political science, art (such as miniature and painting), etc.
