Of course, a large number of these poetic witnesses were distorted and many words have entered the dictionaries due to their misreading. But at the same time, a number of these poetic pieces of evidence have been recorded in this book with accurate and correct reports, according to the old manuscripts that the owner of Jahangiri and the writers of the sources had before him. By using them, a large number of verses can be found. He corrected the Divans of Suzani, Sanai, Athir Akshikti, Molavi, etc. By using some verses of Shams' generalities which are given in the Jahangiri Dictionary as a poetic witness under different words and also by referring to other verses of Molavi in Masnavi and Shams' Generalities, an attempt has been made to reflect on some verses of Molavi's ghazals in this dictionary. In this study, using Jahangiri's Dictionary, seven verses from Shams' Generalities have been examined. The difference between the words "چند" and "جند", "بخسیدن" and "پخسیدن", "زرینک" and "چوبینک" are among the cases that have been discussed in this research. In addition, based on the last paragraph, a new possibility has been raised regarding the reason for the attribution of "چوبینه = red headscarf" to "Bahram VI". از ویژگی‌های مهم و برجستۀ فرهنگِ جهانگیری که در حدود سال 1017 ه.ق. در هند تدوین شده است، بیان شاهدهای شعری از آثار گویندگان سده‌های مختلف در ذیل برخی واژه‌ها و ترکیب‌هاست. البته شمار زیادی از این شاهدهای شعری، دچار گشتگی‌های فراوان شده و لغات بسیاری به‌سبب بدخوانی از آنها وارد فرهنگ‌ها شده است؛ اما درعین‌حال، شماری از این شواهد شعری با توجه به دستنویس‌های کهنی که صاحبِ جهانگیری و نویسندگانِ منابع پیش از وی در اختیار داشته‌اند، با گزارش‌هایی دقیق و درست در این کتاب ثبت شده است که با استفاده از آنها امکان تصحیح تعداد زیادی از بیت‌ها در دیوان‌های سوزنی، سنایی، اثیر اخسیکتی، مولوی و غیره فراهم می‌شود. با استفاده از برخی بیت‌های کلیات شمس که در فرهنگ جهانگیری به‌عنوان شاهد شعری ذیل لغات مختلف آورده شده است و نیز با مراجعه به سایر بیت‌های مولوی در مثنوی و کلیات شمس، تلاش شد تا دربارۀ چند بیت از غزل‌های مولوی در این فرهنگ، تأملاتی صورت گیرد. در این جُستار با استفاده از فرهنگ جهانگیری، هفت بیت از کلیات شمس بررسی شده است؛ اختلاف در واژه‌های «چند» به «جَند»، «بخشیدن» به «پخسیدن»، «زرّینک» به «چوبینک» ازجمله مواردی است که این تحقیق به آنها می‌پردازد. همچنین بر اساس فقرۀ اخیر، احتمالی تازه درخصوص علت انتساب «چوبینه= سربند سُرخ» به «بهرام ششم» نیز مطرح شده است.
