Poets and writers in the field of mystical literature have made extensive use of the function of simile and allegory to simplify complex mystical concepts. The purpose of the present study is to investigate the structure of Aziz Nasafi’s book, Kashf al-Haqiq and then to analyze the role of simile and allegory in this work. The method of this descriptive-analytical research is language and content analysis, and the research tool is the library. The present study sought to investigate the functions of allegory and simile in the thought and language of the prose of Nasfi’s Kashf al-Haqiq as well as investigating their relation parables and allegories with mystical language. To explain the mystical concepts for the dervishes of his time and to answer their questions in simple terms, Nasfi used a very simple language. This approach made him use parables, allegories, and allegorical language to express the concepts and topics better. It goes without saying that Nasafi considered allegorical anecdotes in only a few cases and his focus was on mentioning new and tangible allegorical metaphors. This method can be seen throughout Kashf al-Haqiq and has become doubly important due to the novelty of its proverbs and similes. Different types of similes and allegories, their frequency and repetition, and also the way they are used are investigated in the present study. The allegories of the symbolic network of light and the field of anthropology and resurrection have the most repetition and function.
