According to Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh, Faranak is the first woman in the mythical history of Iran who, as a wise mother, has assisted "Farrokh", the king. The researchers have been silent on the position of Faranak in Freidoon’s kingdom and also her commands being carried out by the big shots of her time during the absence of her son.  The writer of this article thinks some clues can be found in Shahnameh indicating that Faranak, the king’s mother, has had an influential power in the nomadic society of Iran. The writer, also, has tried to present the hypothesis of the influence of women related to Shah (wife, daughter, mother) in “kavian jadoo” (magician and sacred kings) society and has disclosed the role of Faranak in preparing the ground for Freidoon to gain the power. To do so, Dumezil theory is the basis of the writer’s hypothesis and Shahnameh is the basis of research. در پژوهشهایی که تاکنون درباره روایات اساطیری و حماسی ایران؛ بویژه شاهنامه صورت گرفته، نقش زنان کمتر کاویده شده است. مطابق شاهنامه فردوسی، نخستین زنی که در تاریخ اساطیری ایران در جایگاه مادری خردمند به فرمانروایی پادشاهی «فرّخ» یاری رسانده، فرانک است. پژوهندگان درباره مقام فرانک نزد فریدون و پیروی بزرگان قوم از وی، به هنگام غیبت فرزند، سخنی نگفته اند. به گمانم دلایلی هست که نشان می دهد، فرانک به عنوان مادر شاه در جامعه بدوی ایران قدرتی درخور داشته و این امر در شاهنامه نمود یافته است. نگارنده کوشیده است تا ضمن طرح فرضیه نفوذ زن(همسر، دختر، مادر) شاه در جامعهکویان جادو، پایگاه فرانک را در تمهید و تأیید فرمانروایی فریدون بازشناسد. بدین منظور، نظریه دومزیل(Dumezil)را پایه فرضیه و متن شاهنامه را اساس پژوهش شمرده است. https://jpll.ui.ac.ir/article_16358_6a552993005f253cbb56217923e8c00b.pdf
